win, that is.
(my blog should maybe be called “adventures with aubrey”)
For some reason, we have this thing in my family called a “family birthday party.” Now, I understand that others of you may also have something to this effect, but not quite as extravagant as the Marshall family. In the Marshall family, every child has a “friend birthday party” full of party games and small children. Then we have a “family birthday party,” full of games, cake, etc. but no small children…well unless you count aubs.
So, without further adieu, here is the Family Birthday Party.
(please excuse my excessive screaming at the end.)
in 10 days.
Yankees with Meghan and Dan.
Fourth fireworks on the Hudson.
Elizabeth and Eric had a show in the city and I got to give them a tour of my hood. Best part? The fountain at Lincoln Center. Seriously. It’s cool.
Betsy, just because.
Vacation Bible School (it wouldn’t be summer without it!)
Finally, NY Philharmonic in Central Park (you know that final scene in the movie August Rush? Yeah. That’s NY phil in Central Park.) They played selections from West Side Story. It was awesome.
Tomorrow I’m going to try and get lottery tickets to In The Heights because Corbin Bleu is only in it for a few more weeks and I’ve been dying to see him in it. Cross your fingers.
(I had to fit a new york summer into 10 days because I’m going HOME for the next six weeks! yay! Greeley here I come!)
*Look at the red table, bottom center. Look up two rows of people. Second row, see the girls who look exactly the same? I’m to their left (your right) with a gray dress on and a cream bag slung across my body. I’m holding my camera. This is a photo of a HUGE screen in Times Square right above the new Forever 21. It takes still photos of the people in Times Square. Crazy, right?
